While many people are aware of what food binging is all about, some may not be aware that binge eating is divided into two groups.
1. Binging and Purging (This is where food is consumed followed by self-induced vomiting.)
2. Binging without Purging (There is no induced vomiting.) We will be addressing the second type of binging in this article (no purging). This problem is more common than many realize as some 3% of adults suffer from this disorder. Of course the percentage is much higher if we look only at the obese portion of the population. Among these people, 10% to 15% suffer from binging. Researchers have found that dieting often acts as a trigger for binging. This is not surprising since binging is often closely related to emotional stress. For some people, binging is a form of self medicating-an attempt to reduce levels of frustration and anxiety. Now consider that dieting is quite stressful. Food used in this way matches exactly the definition of an addiction. A common characteristic of addictions is a circle of relief and pain. We binge because we feel bad, then we feel bad because we binged. The sufferer ends up caught on a treadmill with no off switch. This is a state of affairs that can be truly devastating. Round and round and round? If you or someone you care about is a chronic binger, realize these important points:
1. This may not be a problem that can be fixed without help.
2. Professional help is available.
If outside help is not an option, or does not appeal to you, consider some of the following approaches. They have proven to work well for many:
1. Avoid very low calorie diets. These tend to create much more stress. Target losing no more than one to two pounds per week.
2. DO NOT cut out all of the foods you like. Figure in a couple hundred calories per day of your favorite foods. This helps reduce frustration and can actually help you lose weight.
3. NEVER go more than 4 hours without food.
4. Work on more of less. Four to six smaller meals a day will go a long way to easing the urge to binge.
5. Do your best to maintain a regular eating schedule. I know for some, this may feel restrictive, but studies show that this works best for the majority. Remember that binging is related to stress. You need to address this in order to really free yourself from binging. Look into meditation or sports or exercise to help reduce the stress levels in your life. Learning to see things differently; wearing different color glasses so to speak, can help you look at the world in a way that is not stressful. This of course would be the best route.

Most kids would rather eat something like a hamburger than even look at some broccoli. It is hard for children to make food choices thanks to the variety of products that are high in calories and low in vitamins and minerals. This might be the reason why some children become obese. Too many packaged foods are not very healthy for a young child.

How can adults help children understand what a balanced diet is and more importantly, how do adults help children eat a balanced diet?

There are many prepackaged healthy food options for fruits and vegetables that your child will like. Carrots and broccoli come in single serving sizes with peanut butter or ranch dressing to spice it up. Dipping food may be an option the child likes.

Involve Your Kids In Meal Planning

Keep your children involved in making decisions about what they eat by trying new ways to prepare their food. Children's recipe books not only make cooking food, they incorporate ways to have your children help with the cookies. By helping with the food preparation, kids are more likely to eat their fruits and vegetables because they took the time to make the meal or snack.

Keep Your Child's Menu Choice Exciting and Exciting

Find new ways to prepare the food. A breakfast quiche could include a few veggies along with the meat and cheese and egg. There are a number of different easy to follow recipes that could help. Also, try checking out some cookbooks that are designed with kids in mind. They might have some fun ideas about how to get children to eat their fruits and vegetables by creating dishes kids love.

Được đăng bởi Nguyen | 11:17 AM

Making your own wine is a hobby that is growing quickly. There's a variety of reasons for this.

one is that for the few past years, there has been a number of books published on home wine making, and a number of "How to" manuals providing the information needed to get started.

One other reason is that making your own wine can be a lot less expensive than purchasing wine in the store. You can make wine for pennies per bottle. Big difference from the ever increasing prices of commercial wine.

And then there is the most important reason of all. Making your own wine is really gratifying and plain old fun. Sipping your perfectly fermented fruit or grape wine that you prepared and nursed, and followed from cleaning the fruit to racking, bottling and now drinking is just nourishment for the soul.

Giving your own wine as a gift is a one of a kind gift, inviting your friends and family to taste the great wine you have made is just something that feels very special.

Getting started making wine can be very easy. You do not need expensive equipment and fancy gadgets. What you do need is a fermentation vessel. This can be a five gallon bucket. Then you will need an air lock, which you can purchase inexpensively or make yourself and a few other smaller items.

There are basically three levels of home wine making.

1. Using a purchased wine kit. Just add water and follow the instructions.

2.Making wine from fruit juices.

3. Making wine from fruit and berries.

Once you make your first batch of wine there is no going back. The satisfaction of sipping your own home made wine is simply delicious. Read more...

Green tea help me lose weight

Được đăng bởi Nguyen | 10:21 PM

Ive given up smoking before, but have gone back to it. Can hypnosis change this?
It all boils down to finding out why you have gone back to smoking in the past.

Are there hidden fees?
This is a highly regulated business. If you obtain a franchising agreement, you will be sent a legal document giving you all the information about your franchising agreement. You must sign for that and you cannot pay for your training until 10 days have passed and you accept the franchising agreement in writing. You will also receive an outline of the rules and responsibilities for both parties involved in the agreement.Hypnosis is brought about by getting the person to imagine situations and events that are extremely relaxing. The 'induction', as it is called, is simply a series of extremely carefully worded relaxation techniques. Entering hypnosis is a skill that people find that they learn. Someone who enters hypnosis during several sessions, finds it easier to relax into it each time. After a while, you may well find that you are able to do it for yourself when you simply want to relax. It is relatively easy to hypnotize someone to stop smoking once they have decided that they want to. It is like turning a light switch off. When it is off, it is off. There is no question. The person is a non-smoker. But with weight control and so many other issues, we are working in grey areas.

Will I remember the hypnosis part of the session?
Typically, someone who has been under hypnosis for 50 minutes will say that it felt like 20-30 minutes. If you mean financial risk, you risk only the capital you invest - and we make it very easy for you to succeed.

I've dieted in the past, but can't keep the weight off. Can you help?
The problem that many people have when they diet and then put the weight back on again, is that they haven't uncovered the reason that they overeat. Overeating is often associated with some emotional issues that are still there after you have dieted, and it is these emotional issues which contribute so readily to putting the weight back on.

Is there an age limit for hypnotherapy?
It depends on the type of therapy. For suggestion therapy, there is no age limit, as long as the person is old enough to understand what is happening and what is being said to them. For analytical hypnotherapy, there isn't an upper age limit, but due to the nature of the therapy, it can't really be used on any person under the age of 21.

How is it done?

Coffee Is A Commodity

Được đăng bởi Nguyen | 10:06 PM

One of the most popular beverages in the world is coffee. It was first discovered in the highlands of Ethiopia sometime around the year 800. It then spread to other countries in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. In terms of dollars traded, coffee ranks second in the world, with oil ranking first. All the coffee in the world is grown on tropical climates, located in places between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.

The cultivation of coffee has become an art form in a few places in the world. While Brazil grows the highest volume of coffee in the world, Southeast Asia produces the most expensive coffee. It is called Kopi Lewak, and the ripest coffee beans are eaten by a Common Palm Civet and then passed through the digestive system. The outer shell of the beans is digested, but the inner bean is not. The beans are then picked up off the ground and processed. Coffee aficionados believe this to be the finest coffee in the world. It costs about 600 dollars a pound, or roughly 50 dollars a cup.

There are countless different blends and roasts of coffee. Some of the most popular are the dark rich roasts and of course decaffeinated. However there is a new trend emerging toward low acid coffees. Coffee beans contain tannic acid along with other acids. While these acids have benefits to the body, some people find them hard to digest, particularly those with acid reflux disease.Since acid softens tooth enamel dentists often recommend that patients limit their intake of coffee and tea. One of the finest low acid coffees on available is Tyler's Coffee.Roasted in Arizona using Arabica beans, Tyler's Coffee uses state of the art technology to roast it's coffees.Tyler's coffee was started by a very bright 13 year old boy in Tucson, Arizona.Today Tyler's coffee makes one of the smoothest low acid coffees on the market.

Between being grown and being brewed in your coffee pot, coffee goes through an intense process. When coffee plants produce coffee pods, they resemble cherries since they are red in color, and by the time they plant produces its first pods it is already 3 years old.Farmers are not after the coffee cherries, but the two coffee beans that grow inside like peanuts in a shell. To prevent over fermenting the beans must be processed quickly after being picked. The most common process is called the "wet" process where the beans are washed and slightly fermented several times to get them out of there shell.

After processing, the beans are then sorted and shipped to the roaster. The most important part of manufacturing coffee is the roasting process. It takes an experienced roaster to turn out a perfect product and the roasting is what determines the final flavor of the coffee. Raw coffee beans are a light green color and taste somewhat bitter, but by roasting the flavor is developed, from mild roasts to rich dark roasts, to some that are so dark they taste almost burnt.
