If you have unwanted cellulite, one way to fight it is with cellulite exercises. After all, cellulite is just a type of fat. If you want to lose fat, you need to exercise. Of course, exercise combined with changes in your diet can help you go even further toward your cellulite loss goals, too.
A good program is all about losing cellulite the proper way. That means taking the time and putting in the work. There are no quick fixes. You need to be willing to eat properly and exercise, if you want to really lose cellulite.
If you want to do cellulite exercises, you might lean towards doing cardio exercises, such as walking or jogging on a treadmill. That's perfectly fine as part of your exercise routine. You also need to do strength training exercises, though, so you can build muscle mass.
Gaining muscle mass may not appeal to you, if you're thinking of professional bodybuilders. You don't have to look like a pro to gain muscle, though. In fact, muscle takes up less space than fat. So, if you lose a pound of body fat and gain a pound of muscle, you'll actually be skinnier.
Not everyone likes going to the gym. The nice thing is that you can do a lot of cellulite exercises right in your own home. For example, exercises like lunges and squats can help you burn fat. Those exercises are especially good because cellulite usually settles in the lower body.
So, how do you know how much exercise to do? Well, when it comes to cardio, experts recommend short but intense workouts. The technique is known as interval training. Let's look at an example for a treadmill workout.
You would begin with a low speed, low intensity warm up. In about 5 minutes, you'd use either a faster speed or a steeper incline to do a more intense workout for a short time. The exact length of time will depend on your individual case. It could be 30 seconds or even two minutes. After that, you'll want to reduce the intensity for a cool down or recovery.
You'll have to repeat the high intensity workout and the low intensity cool down several times to achieve the results you want. Even a 20 minute workout can make a huge difference. That's because it raises your metabolism up and gets your body to burn fat fast, especially if you combine it with other exercises, such as a strength training routine.
